When deciding where to stay in Belgrade, there are 7 areas that I recommend to stay – Stari Grad, Dorcol, Vracar, Palilula, Savamala, Novi Beograd, and Zemun. These areas in Belgrade are all located within 30 minutes walking distance of the cities main attractions.
Stari Grad (Old Town) is the main tourist area which contains all of Belgrades top attractions including the Belgrade Fortress, Kalamegdan Park and Knez Mihailova Street.
Things to do in Stari Grad (Old Town):

- Go shopping on the pedestrian only walking street Knez Mihailova
- Belgrade Fortress & Kalamegdan Park

Dorcol is a historic neighborhood stretches north, northeast from Old Town to the Danube. The trendy neighborhood is dotted with sidewalk cafes, boutiques and cocktail bars.
