Wondering where to stay in Siem Reap, Cambodia?  I LOVE Siem Reap and always return to the “city” every time I’m in Southeast Asia.  I put city in quotes because Siem Reap is pretty small especially compared to other Southeast Asian cities such as Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh.

Most people flock here to see the famous Angkor Wat which are ancient temples and ruins hidden throughout a foreign jungle.  Siem Reap is a great destination if you are traveling on a budget because you get luxury hotels for the fraction of the price.

When deciding where to stay in Siem Reap make sure to find a spot with a pool.  It gets hot in between temple hopping in the hot sun.

There are five areas of Siem Reap that you’ll want to stay in, French Quarter, Old Market, Wat Bo, Taphul Village or by Charles de Gaulle Boulevard.  I compiled a list of the best places to stay in Siem Reap for each area.
