Wondering where to stay in Vang Vieng?  There are plenty of accommodations that range from budget hostels to luxury resorts.

Vang Vieng, Laos used to have a reputation of being one of the biggest party towns in Southeast Asia.  Backpackers would flock here to participate in the alcohol and drug fueled parties on the river.  Over the years a few accidents happened and the Lao government got strict and “cracked” down on the extreme partying.

Although the party scene isn’t as intense as it used to be, I would NOT skip out and visiting this town.  This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Laos.  The mountains that encompass Vang Vieng not only make a jaw dropping back drop but offers lots to do like rock climbing and hiking.

Shedding its shell and emerging as a trending outdoor and nature getaway destination you’ll need a clean and comfortable place to retire for the night.  The town is full of budget guesthouses, hostels and a few gems that are worth the small splurge.  Here is a list of the best places to stay in Vang Vieng.
